Counsellors - Who have direct contact with clients.
Project Managers - Who ensure the smooth running of services in the regional offices.
Support Staff - Who work in areas such as finance, fundraising, education, research and administration.
Staff joining the NEXUS Institute have:22 days annual leave which increases according to length of service and 11 public/bank holidays. A competitive sickness policypaternity leave special paid or unpaid leave. NEXUS offers competitive rates of pay and benefits package.
Clinical Practice Placements The NEXUS Institute offers counselling placements to trainee counsellors to enable them to develop their skills through clinical practice. Placements must commit to a minimum of one year, for approximately four hours a week. The NEXUS Institute will provide professional supervision and additional training at minimum cost to placements. Volunteering The NEXUS Institute recruits volunteers periodically throughout the year in areas such as administration, fundraising and research. Clinical Practice Placements Entry Requirements: Prospective placements have completed at least one year of a diploma counselling course working towards a Diploma. Equivalence might be considered.Placements are required to have a minimum of fifty hours supervised counselling practice.
Application Procedure: Prospective placements are required to complete an application form supported by references. Meet with a member of staff for an informal discussion. Attendance at a workshop providing further information. This provides an opportunity for questions and offers a forum for mutual assessment before commitment on either side.
